Hello…

I care about replying to your inquiry with a clear, thoughtful and considered response—and with the volume of messages I receive that usually takes time. I appreciate your patience and/or your gentle nudge if you don't hear back from me right away.

Let’s Connect

I have spent over two decades asking a single question in many different forms: How do we build communities that are truly well - connected to each other, to place, and to purpose?

That question has shaped everything I do. It's led me into classrooms and boardrooms, into wilderness and watersheds, into governance and grief, into the full, complicated, luminous work of building a more just and caring world.

I'm based in West Michigan, rooted in the Great Lakes region, and shaped by this land. My work draws from community education, ecological science, contemplative practice, and decades of direct experience designing programs that change how people think, lead, and live.

I hold certification as a Master Naturalist and Eco-Minister, and have trained extensively in trauma-informed facilitation and mindfulness education. As founder of Mindful School of Yoga - I've built programming that meets people where they are.

My community work extends through Torchbearers Collective, a community initiative fostering deeper human connection and ecological awareness, and through my board service with Beyond the City, a Grand Rapids nonprofit providing transformative travel experiences to underserved youth.

I currently serve as an elected Trustee on the Board of Education for Grand Rapids Public Schools, where I bring a whole-systems perspective to educational governance, policy, and community accountability.

My work is grounded in ecological literacy and the conviction that how we relate to the living world shapes how we relate to each other. I draw from the scholarship of Robin Wall Kimmerer, Sharon Blackie, Joanna Macy, and Thich Nhat Hanh - thinkers who understand that healing, justice, and belonging are inseparable from our relationship to place.

With respect and gratitude, I acknowledge that my work is rooted on the unceded ancestral lands of Michigan's first peoples - the Anishinaabe: Odawa, Ojibwe, and Bodéwadmi - and I carry that acknowledgment as active commitment.

Beyond the work, I am a devoted mother and wife, shaped by a childhood spent on wooded land in southern Michigan. The forests, fields, and watersheds of this region are not backdrop to my life - they are the foundation of it. That belonging is what I try, in all my work, to help others find for themselves.
